New Make / Model Category Format

If you’ve checked out the 4WD Suspension section lately, you’ll have noticed a heap of new products being added, as well as our new category structure. A host of new features have been included in the new format, all to make finding what you’re after much quicker.

Take the Shock Absorbers category for example. On the top level you’ll now find “Priced from” and “Priced to” displayed. For example: $174.00 - $261.00. This shows the range of prices of products within the category.

The next category down however is where the real fun begins. We’ll use Koni Shock Absorbers as the example. After a description of the product, you’ll notice a “Vehicle Selection” box. By choosing your make, model and year from those available, 4×4 Store will then display to you only products that suit your selected make, model and year. There’s no more wading through 100’s of products to find the product that suits. You will also see a small thumbnail photo of the product, detailed title, quantity box and an add to cart feature.

Whilst this new format speeds things up first time round, it really kicks in when you continue browsing other categories that have been updated to the new format. If you’ve selected a make, model and year already in Koni, now try visiting the Raw Nitro Shock Absorbers category. Only products that suit your previous make, model and year selection are shown, so you only need to pick your 4WD once at 4×4 Store.

These new features are being rolled out across the entire store, and soon finding products to suit your 4WD or AWD will be a whole lot quicker. If a product suits a specific vehicle, whether it be Snorkels or Battery Trays, Side Steps, Bullbars, Turbo Kits or Suspension, the store will only show you products that suit your vehicle. So there’s no more wasted time looking through products that just don’t suit your 4WD, and no more wasted time browsing 10’s and hundreds of different make, model categories.

Whilst there’s many new features to ensure your experience with 4×4 Store is an enjoyable one, believe me when I say there are many more to come in the next few months. This is a big upgrade that involves many new features, and tens of thousands of new product listings. As each new major feature goes online, I’ll let you know more about it here.
