Off-Road Racing followers will be no stranger to these quality lights, with them lighting the way for Bob shepherd when taking out the 2005 SCORE Trophy Truck Championship and 1st place for the 2005 Tecate Baja 1000 Trophy Truck Division. They are also the lights of choice for many other off road racers, and have already converted some of the 4×4 faithful right here in Oz with our very own Shane Gerrish (aka Big Red) now using them on board his truck and giving rave reviews of their performance. Whilst features vary between the different models, some attributes include integrated ballast, rugged die cast aluminium housing, borosilicate hardened glass lens, and many other unique traits. Add comment August 23rd, 2007 As part of our site upgrade, we are developing a new make, model and year feature to replace the current “Shop by Make and Model” option. The new system includes a series of features that will make your shopping experience with us a lot faster and easier. Whilst we are developing this feature, we’ve slowed down a bit in other areas such as adding new lines to our online store. Add comment August 23rd, 2007 Again we have been working hard over the past week to bring you new products, but mainly we’ve been updating our existing range to the new make / model format. It’s never easy or quick making changes of this magnitude, but we have managed to get some new gear online for you to check out. An all new performance category for 4×4 Store, and we’ve added a range of Brake Pads this week including: Updated product ranges include Thule Aerodynamic and Square Type Roof Racks and Piranha Battery Trays, so now once you’ve selected a make/model/year, you’ll only see products suited to your 4WD, AWD or SUV in these categories. You may also notice a few updates to the look and feel of the site, and these will continue over the coming months. For the most part, we are trimming down the code to make the pages load faster for you, but there’s also cosmetic and informative changes being made along the way. Remember to get out and enjoy your 4WD, and stay tuned for more updates.. With the upgrade being rolled out, we’ve been adding many new product lines to the shop, with a few featured below: We’ve added a large number of new items lately in the 4WD Suspension section, but there’s still plenty more to go online, so stay tuned. As you can see, we’ve added thousands of new products recently, and there’s plenty more on the way. 1000’s of current lines are also being updated to the new format, so you’ll be able to find what you’re after a lot quicker shortly. Don’t forget to check the News & Articles section often to keep up to date with everything new at 4×4 Store. Add comment July 4th, 2007 If you’ve checked out the 4WD Suspension section lately, you’ll have noticed a heap of new products being added, as well as our new category structure. A host of new features have been included in the new format, all to make finding what you’re after much quicker. Take the Shock Absorbers category for example. On the top level you’ll now find “Priced from” and “Priced to” displayed. For example: $174.00 - $261.00. This shows the range of prices of products within the category. The next category down however is where the real fun begins. We’ll use Koni Shock Absorbers as the example. After a description of the product, you’ll notice a “Vehicle Selection” box. By choosing your make, model and year from those available, 4×4 Store will then display to you only products that suit your selected make, model and year. There’s no more wading through 100’s of products to find the product that suits. You will also see a small thumbnail photo of the product, detailed title, quantity box and an add to cart feature. Whilst this new format speeds things up first time round, it really kicks in when you continue browsing other categories that have been updated to the new format. If you’ve selected a make, model and year already in Koni, now try visiting the Raw Nitro Shock Absorbers category. Only products that suit your previous make, model and year selection are shown, so you only need to pick your 4WD once at 4×4 Store. These new features are being rolled out across the entire store, and soon finding products to suit your 4WD or AWD will be a whole lot quicker. If a product suits a specific vehicle, whether it be Snorkels or Battery Trays, Side Steps, Bullbars, Turbo Kits or Suspension, the store will only show you products that suit your vehicle. So there’s no more wasted time looking through products that just don’t suit your 4WD, and no more wasted time browsing 10’s and hundreds of different make, model categories. Whilst there’s many new features to ensure your experience with 4×4 Store is an enjoyable one, believe me when I say there are many more to come in the next few months. This is a big upgrade that involves many new features, and tens of thousands of new product listings. As each new major feature goes online, I’ll let you know more about it here. Add comment June 30th, 2007 It may seem as though we haven’t done much on the site of late, however the reality is quite the opposite. We have been developing a series of new features that will make finding the gear you want much faster and simpler than ever before. As we are building these features from the ground up, this process takes some time, however we will be doing beta testing within the week, and hopefully launching these new features within a few. This is why we haven’t done any new product release articles for a while, as we need to make sure everything is compatible. What you will see shortly after the release of the new features is 1000’s of products being added very quickly to our online catalogue, with heaps of information and quality photos accompanying them. Stay tuned for information on the new features and how they will make your shopping experience with us all the better. The menu, running down the left side of the page, is now far more comprehensive with some 40 options available. Why do this you may ask? Our aim is to make your shopping experience with us as simple and easy as possible. By bringing more categories to the menu, you can find what you’re after a lot quicker, and you’ll need to load less pages to find the gear you are after. So what do you think of this change? It’s been a big couple of weeks at 4×4 Store, even with the Easter break, but we’ve still managed to add a lot of new gear to our online catalogue for you to check out. We’ve also added many new store features for you to enjoy. What’s New:
We’ve almost completed placing the base range of Thule Roof Racks online, with racks to suit 125 different makes/models already available. There’s only a few models left to go, and then we’ll move into all the add-ons and accessories for them.
