Snatch Straps Information
An essential part of every four wheel drivers recovery kit, snatch straps are used to recover bogged or stuck vehicles. Snatch Straps have elastic properties allowing them to elongate and then contract assisting in moving the 4WD or car being recovered.
The snatch strap is attached on either end to proper recovery mounting points on each vehicle, and should only ever be used according to safe recovery practices. If you are unsure in regards to what a safe recovery point or hook is on your vehicle, please talk to an expert, visit a 4WD club, or take a training course before considering using a snatch strap. They can be extremely dangerous if the recovery is not performed properly and adequate precautions are not taken.
