Recovery Hooks Information
No 4WD should venture off road without adequate recovery points. Recovery Hooks provide such a point by bolting through the vehicle chassis using hi-tensile bolts. This provides an adequate recovery point from which to attach straps and perform recoveries. The addition of crush tubes can also be beneficial when fitting recovery hooks.
When fitting bullbars on certains four wheel drives, the front factory recovery hook may need to be relocated. These recovery hooks are sometimes used as a replacement in these situations due to their universal nature. Be sure to check with an authorised engineer or equivilent in your area before considering the fitting of these hooks.
