The solenoid dual battery system from Project parallels two batteries together so that you can enjoy the benefits of extra charge to power your auxiliary items. Utilising a heavy duty 85A solenoid the system is connected when the ignition is turned on and provides isolation when ignition is off, leaving the main battery charged for starting duties.

Surge protection is provided to protect electronic ignition systems, and the kit can be fitted to all 12V vehicles.

When installed, if the auxiliary battery is significantly larger than the starting battery, the auxiliary may flatten the starting battery when the ignition is turned on, however the ignition switch provided allows the isolator to be turned off to allow starting from the secondary battery. This can also be used for times when the main battery is flat and it is needed to be jump started from the secondary battery.
