Plus 50’s shine up to 50% more light for low beam and 20% for high beam. In addition Plus 50 delivers 20 metres longer beam.
What is their Advantage? The Plus globes deliver a greater volume of light. This is achieved without any increase in heat, making them safe for use with polycarbonate headlamp lenses as used in the majority of modern vehicles.
Like high wattage globes, the Plus series will produce more light volume. But unlike high wattage alternatives, Plus globes operate with no increase in heat or power consumption, meaning there is no need to upgrade wiring.
The extra output is achieved with the use of a Xenon filler gas added to the halogen mixture that recycles and ignites more of the available gas. In addition to the Xenon gas, the Plus 50 globes use a more tightly wound filament that is brighter and more precisely focused, delivering 50% more light and an extra 20 metres longer beam.
