Unique in australia, the awesome Alpine Challenge is a team based event set in the alpine region of Dinner Plain and Omeo.

The 10 challenging special stages are based on Cobungra station, Victoria's largest cattle station.

Courses up to 10km long with heaps of mud, winching and white knuckle hill climbs, are technically challenging for both driver and co-driver - and awesome to watch.

Alpine conditions are tough on all participants with cold conditions and snow providing a challenge for vehicle repairs.

It is a team based competition so both vehicles in each team have to somehow get to the end of each stage, in turn creating heroic recovery attempts.

Watch them tackle vertical ascents, make their way down steep inclines, and of course make their way through impossible bogholes.
